Specifically, two (2) cards (1 male and 1 female) will be allocated to athletes in the national non-carded stream and four (4) cards (2 male and 2 female) will be allocated to athletes in the provincial category.  Carding awarded to Canada Summer Games participants first and provincial team ranked highest second.

Overview of the OWSA Points System
Using world records published as of December 31, 2005, a calculation table will determine ranking of athletes as per the percentage of the world record attained through the athlete's performances within their classification. For this 2005-06 carding cycle, results from the 2004 competitive season will be used.  Disciplines and classifications are not differentiated.  Top performances for the athlete's best event will be scored. In the event of a tie, the second best event will be used, and so on. If the athlete does not have a second best event, a score of zero (0) will be awarded.

Results achieved at the following events will be used for point tally and qualification:

Athletics Canada National Paralympic Championships, August 6 - 8, 2004
Ontario Paralympic Championships, July 23 - 25, 2004
Paralympics Ontario Regional Competition, May 29, 2004
Paralympics Ontario Regional Competition, June 12, 2004
